Hi, I was born in Rochford Hospital in 1957 & so were 2 of my children before I moved away to Norwich. I lived in Southend but from the age of 7 to 12 I lived in Hockley & went to Hockley County Primary School. I lived in Merryfields Ave & Plumbrow Ave (think thats how to spell it?) My surname used to be Frost. My Great Aunt & Uncle used to live just down the road from Hockley Station & my Great Grandad Mardel used to live in a bungalow in Hawkwell, it was just on a bend on the main road. I will have to find out some more info as I only can across this site by chance, but my Great Grandad was very well known in the area in the 1st half of the 1900's.
