Home Guard

I was born in Hullbridge in 1944 and my parents lived at Marian, Ferry Road. They moved to sunny view in Mayfield Road probably in 1945. My father, William Osborne (Bill) worked for the Council parks department but during the war he was CQMS for C company of the Home Guard. Is there anyone still living in the area who was in the Home Guard? They would probably be in their 80s/90s by now.
