For Smartphones

By Bob Stephen

You will have seen these QR codes about on hoardings and in magazines.

If you have a smartphone, and if it has been suitably setup with a QR code reader application, then you can access the site directly on your phone by scanning the QR code.

Activate the app and then point your phone camera at the QR code so that it is visible on the phone screen and fits inside the marker lines. The site should then appear on your phone within a couple of seconds.

If you have problems then we are at:

www.rdca.org.uk

or

www.rochforddistricthistory.org.uk

Note that we have recently made our site "mobile friendly" so that it appears satisfactorily on smartphones and tablets. However to achive this we have had to get rid of the scrolling banner and change the layout a bit. The end result is that you shouldn't have to scroll about a page of interest unnecessarily and be forced to use your screen magnifier to read the text.

For the most satisfactory site experience a normal or large screen PC is still the best option.
